You are BORN worthy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You don’t have to earn it! Fuck that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You are fucking powerful ✨ Just as you are. Monday, we meet again. Today I want to share 5 things to do to feel better if you have been in a funk lately 🖤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Don’t beat yourself up over it! Chances are you were already letting negativity slip through somewhere. Being hard on yourself will not help anything! Be kind to yourself let your head catch up with your heart or vice versa. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Exercise! A good sweat session will always be helpful. Whether it’s a long walk, a jog through the park, or doing yoga! you need to let go of whatever is bothering you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Read a book. Even if you are not a reader this is the easiest way to get away from your funk and get lost in someone else’s life. Also if its a really good book, your funk will be pushed aside for a while. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4. Pray. Even if you are not a religious person, you can be a spiritual person. The universe gives us signs and we ignore them too often. So let yourself be vulnerable and pray during difficult times. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 5. Stay off of social media. Pick the habit up while it’s easy to have it anchored when it gets hard. Trust me, I am no more resilient to the cold that you are. In fact I’m the biggest wimp when it comes to the cold... but I also know the benefits of cold water exposure. I know it can strengthen your immune system, improve mental focus & calm, improve circulation and actually improve your resilience to cold in general. So I prepared in advance. I knew that if I wanted to swim in the lake when it was properly cold, I had to make it such a habit that I could slip in naturally without second guessing. In order to make that happen I went for a morning dip in the lake every single (dry ) day during the summer. That way I knew where I would leave my towel, where I would step in, which slippery rock to avoid etc. It doesn’t seem like much, but every small decision you have to make (Where should I leave my stuff? Is it deep enough here? ) is an opportunity for you to say screw it and call it a day. Don’t wait to have back pain to start daily stretching, don’t wait to be stressed to pick up meditation, don’t wait to have health concerns to start exercise, and don’t wait for things to get hectic to get organised. Build your habits now, so that they can be effortless tools that support you when you most need them. #VSCoaching

3 signs that your mental health may need some attention 👇👇👇 1. You’re eating too little or too much. When our habits with food fall out of our body’s natural hunger rhythms, that’s a sign that something may be out of alignment with your mind. Often times eating too little or restricting can be a person’s unconscious way of controlling something when outside circumstances feel out of control. On the flip side, eating too much can be one’s unconscious way of “escaping” painful emotions. 2. Your sleep schedule is not great or is non existent. Sleeping too much during the day is a sign of depression, sometimes this comes with not sleeping well at night which can also be a sign of depression or other health conditions. What is your current sleep-life like? What is it telling you? 3. You haven’t reached out to loved ones in a while. Humans tend to isolate when we feel down, scared or ashamed of ourselves or our situations but these are really the times we should be reaching out the most! It’s hard to interact with others when we aren’t feeling our best, but remember human connection is part of a healthy mind. Because mental health is a part of overall health #mentalhealthishealth our bodies and the way we are feeling are often good indicators of how our minds are feeling. reminder- it’s okay to not post content every single day. i’ve definitely forced myself to make content in the past when i’ve had zero inspiration, and it feels off. i’m just not about that pressure anymore because it takes the fun out of it for me . this account is meant to be realistic, and sometimes that means i’m uninspired & tired! — anyways, she doesn’t need much of an introduction but…probably one of the best sweet breads i’ve made? this is what you’d get if a brownie & banana bread hooked up ⟡ BROWNIE BREAD ⟡ you’ll need: 2 ripe bananas, mashed 2 eggs 1/4 cup tahini / nut butter 1 cup almond flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup cacao powder 1/3 cup coconut sugar drizzle of pb+chocolate chips to top instructions: 1. in a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and cacao. in a bigger bowl, mix the banana, eggs, vanilla, and tahini. 2. add dry ingredients to wet. mix till no dry flour clumps (don’t over mix tho ). 3. pour into lined/sprayed bread pan. add chocolate chips + drizzle of pb. 4. bake for 45 mins at 350. toothpick should come out clean. let it cool completely, and cut into slices : )
